The course aims to provide a framework for the HSE Management System audit process, to be used during internal or external audit processes.
As part of the business risk management approach, occupational health, safety and environmental risks and impacts need to be identified and managed. The HSE risk management system is developed and implemented in order to achieve this objective.
All management systems are functional as a management tool, thus the effectiveness of the system as a tool should be measured regularly. As the level of effectiveness is also impacted on by the level of compliance to system requirements, the level of compliance should thus also be measured regularly.
This course outlines the core principles on auditing an implemented system. The principles include evaluation of system effectiveness as well as compliance to the system requirements.
